Job description
The Application Engineer is responsible for 2nd-level-support and securing of an error free IT service of a high complex IT infrastructure. She or he will be a contact person for technical questions and problems regarding the IT applications
The activities in operations management contain difficult and complex tasks, which need independent development of possible solutions.
• Managing technical environment,
• Monitoring of server, network and application instances,
• Installation, configuration and deployment of IT infrastructure
Candidate’s profile
• Good knowledge of operating systems: Windows Server 2003, 2008
• Good knowledge of operating systems: Linux SLES, RedHat, Oracle Solaris
• Knowledge of relational database management systems: Oracle Database, MySQL
• Knowledge of Citrix Terminal Server
• Network concepts: TCP/IP, SSL, HTTP, HTTPS
• ITIL
• Good knowledge of German and English language
