Key Responsibilities:
o Responsible for a variety of hardware from HP,
IBM and Sun, running RedHat,
AIX and Solaris respectively
o Trouble-shooting and problem solving
o Reduction of faults, Root Cause Analysis
o Customer liaison and meetings
o Provide assistance and guidance to developers in accordance to company policies and standards
o Monitoring of the server environment and its capacity planning
o Business-driven application deployments
o Tight control of the environment including conformance with standard controls checks and procedures
o
COB testing and documentation
o Procedural checks
o Building and configuring new servers
o Production Handover
o
SAN storage set-up & testing
o Core hours of cover are Mon-Sat7am-7pm on a
ROTA basis with 24/7 on-call escalation
However the candidate should be aware of the possible
ROTA changes in the future where it may be needed very late shift – up to 10pm London time (11pmWarsaw time) – to support servers in
USA until the end of business day in
USA.
o The role may include some overseas travel
