For our client we are looking for:
Informix Administrator
Ref. Nr: ADI/ME/09
Location: Katowice, Kraków

Database Administrator (Informix) is responsible for 2nd-level-support and securing of an error free IT service of a high complex IT infrastructure. She or he will be a contact person for technical questions and problems regarding Informix databases.
The activities in operations management contain difficult and complex tasks such as for example:
Operation, administration and maintenance of large, highly available Informix database environments on Solaris platform
Performing daily activities regarding to the UNIX and Database Administration
Installations, migrations, backups and restores, performance tuning, security management, capacity planning
Development of problem and error analysis
Participation on the on call duty

Requirements:
Technical skills:
Business experience in large scale environment
Good knowledge of Solaris operating systems and Linux (SUSE, RedHat) as well as UNIX shell scripting language
Very good knowledge and long term experience with Informix 11.5, including HPL and ON-Bar
Knowledge of ITIL methodology / concepts
Language skills:
English – fluent in speaking and writing
German language is an additional value
