Freeport Metrics is a US-based consulting company specializing in the development of custom data analytics solutions (from data acquisition to visualization) for retail, non-profit, government, energy, and financial clients. We practice agile methodology and write beautiful code for applications that make users happy, and the world a better, more efficient place.

We are seeking experienced, self-disciplined and entrepreneurial hackers (i.e., enthusiastic and skillful computer programmers) to join our small, but growing international team working in the center of Warsaw.

Key Responsibilities

As part of our team you will:

• produce skillfully crafted software

• document, analyze, and provide technical recommendations for international clients

• play a role of a technology expert by keeping up to date with innovations

• proactively influence the business (have a voice in methodology, sales, work environment, hiring, etc.).

Core Requirements

• IT-related university degree or equivalent work experience.

• Internet application development skills with 2+ years experience using .NET or Java frameworks (or similar technologies).

• Proven ability to solve problems.

• Proven analytical, planning, and technical design skills.

• Readiness and interest to learn new technologies.

• Passion for getting things done well.

• Comfortable communicating in English both verbally and in writing.

Optional Skills & Experience

• Experience developing rich internet application user interfaces for HTML5 browsers using frameworks such as AngularJS, Backbone.js, ExtJS, GWT, or JQuery.

• Some mobile application development experience (Windows Mobile, iOS, Android).

• Experience with other open source development frameworks and languages (e.g., Python, Ruby on Rails).

• Windows/Linux/Database system administration skills.

• Database design and SQL skills with RDMS and NoSQL databases.
