The team is responsible for the acquisition, installation, commissioning and maintenance of all I.T Hardware, Software and associated equipment within Company for Europe.
The Mainframe Systems Administrator works as part of the Infrastructure services team. This position is required to support and implement Company’s IT strategy and provide support for the Company’s Mainframe infrastructure.

MAINFRAME ADMINISTRATOR
Description:
- Provide support for, and troubleshoot z/OS and z/VM operating system issues responding to incident referrals.
- Support IBM zSeries hardware and liaise with IBM engineers and other technology teams as required.
- Manage work queue and prioritise problems based on severity and urgency and track all outstanding incidents until successful resolution or re-allocation using the corporate tools.
- Determine problem root cause and implement remediation to prevent re-occurrences.
- Support IT projects in all phases of the lifecycle to ensure adherence with Company’s IT policies and procedures.
- Provide cover as part of an on-call rota and support out of hours project work.
- Maintain system documentation to a high standard.
- Implement audit policies and procedures.
- Make recommendations and drive for service improvement.
- Implement system changes as defined by established change control procedures
- Ensure Disaster Recovery integrity and perform scheduled DR testing for compliance
- Flexible approach to working as travel and unsociable hours are often required
Requirements:
- z/OS and z/VM operating systems
- Systems Automation
- Tivoli Workload Scheduler
- Good organisational skills, the ability to handle a variety of tasks and priorities at the same time
- Strong English communication skills and ability to work individually or as part of a team
- Proven problem solving and decision making skills
- Preferable experience of ITIL and Prince 2 methodologies
