Currently we are looking for Consultants who will carry out a project for our Client (banking sector).
Unix/Linux Specialist
Workplace: Kraków
Main tasks:
• Providing full scope of the day to day Production Support service including resolution of the live incidents as well as post-resolution problem management activities
• Providing technical expertise in finding root cause of major system problems
• Installation of the new software releases provided by the vendor
• Implementation of the locally developed solutions
• Support of the various testing activities related to the new implementations
Requirements:
• Advanced Unix/Linux system administration skills (commands, shell scripting, vi editor)
• Strong experience in supporting complex and integrated application environments, primarily based on Oracle and/or SQL relational databases
• Experience with highly complex system implementations and organizational processes
• Strong communication and negotiation skills
• Good problem solving and analytical skills
• Ability to work under time pressure, and to multitask
• Availability to work shifts and on-call
• Very good knowledge of English
Optional skills:
• Knowledge of French
• Experience in banking, especially in Payments is an advantage
• Knowledge in the following technologies would be an advantage: CFT, Connect Direct, Java, MQ Series
