Currently, for our Client –one of the leading full-service digital marketing providers in Europe. with its headquarters Munich and other European cities, we are looking for professionals for the position of a Database Developer.

Job specification:
• Monitoring activities of the databases
• Introducing appropriate improvements (automation of repetitive tasks)
• Contributing to the architecture solutions (scalability, hardware requirements, and security improvements in our DevOps teams)
• Design, implementation and maintenance of the archival and high availability strategies
• Responsibility for the database backup and recovery procedures- development and testing of the recovery procedures for each database
• Assisting the development team in the schema changes activities based on the profiling and optimization possibilities

Requirements:
• University Degree (Computer Science or related; database course diploma would be a plus)
• Experience working with PostgreSQL and Linux
• Ability to troubleshoot high performance relational PostgreSQL databases
• Ability to write statements, scripts and functions with SQL (and/or PL/pgsql), Bash, Python or Perl
• Knowledge of data replication technologies (e.g. Slony, Londiste, WAL Shipping)
• Very good knowledge of English
• Strong analytical skills and detail-oriented attitude
