SQL Developer for Fraud Analysis
Overall Purpose of Role:
We are seeking an experienced SQL programmer to join our client’s Business Intelligence division as a SQL Developer for Fraud Analysis. The company is highly committed to protecting their customers and brand against all classes of risk. The successful candidate will be instrumental in creating new methods for the detection and prevention of fraud with relevant SQL queries and data analysis.
Responsibilities / Accountabilities:
• Becoming familiar with a large variety of data in our data warehouse
• Writing advanced ad-hoc SQL queries and analyzing the results
• Developing stored procedures
• Collaboration with Data Warehouse for report development
• Identifying new initiatives for data analysis
• Reducing operational and reputational risk as a result of fraudulent behaviour
Skills / Experience Required:
• Extensive experience with SQL is essential
• Strong analytical skills
• Knowledge of online poker and related fraud (e.g. chip dumping, multi-accounting, prohibited software use, etc.) is a definite advantage
• Ability to work independently on assigned projects, but also to provide key input in a dynamic team setting with other highly talented individuals
• A self starter with initiative to take responsibility for personal workload
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities and to thrive in a fast-paced work environment.
