We currently have a vacancy for an Analyst fluent in English, to offer his/her services as an expert who will be based in Stockholm. To work within the business anlyst group in the ICT Support section, under the supervision of project managers or the group leader in order to perform tasks related to requirements engineering and conduct feasibility and similar studies.

General IT business analyst
(ED/BA/S)

TASKS:
The consultant(s) will conduct feasibility studies, gather and analyse the business requirements as well as document and develop business process workflows for the need of various applications of the Client. These systems include among others: TESSy, CRM, EPIS, EWRS, TTT, Intranet, Eurosurveillance, and the Web Portal of the Client. The consultant(s) will also be responsible for testing, writing test cases and user training. They will provide both technical as well as user documentation. The consultant(s) will liaise closely with all the project stakeholders, including business owners, project manager(s) and development team members. The consultant(s) shall be requested to perform various tasks related to the projects, products, applications and services developed in ICT Support Section.
The tasks will include:
- Gather and document the business requirements
- Conduct feasibility and related studies
- Create and maintain technical and user documentation
- Model, analyse, and improve business processes
- Perform business data modelling
- Perform stakeholder analysis
- Specifying user interfaces
- Document standard operating procedures (in cooperation with the QA)
- Assist stakeholders in prioritizing requirements
- Develop use cases/user stories and assist in developing test cases
- Contribute to testing in different stages
- Prepare training material
- Conduct user training
- Assist the ICT-S section in developing and implementing standards

Education and experience:
1. University degree with minimum 4 years of experience in IT or non-university degree with minimum 6 years of experience in IT
2. Minimum 2 years of business requirements gathering and analysis for complex and scientific application including tasks described in the Tasks and Deliverables section above
3. Experience with requirements engineering, developing use cases, user stories, and drafting user interfaces
4. Experience with requirements management in agile development processes
5. Extensive knowledge and experience in software modelling techniques and modelling of functional requirements
6. Experience in process mapping, workflow process analysis and process reengineering
7. Experience in coordinating with technical experts, developers and users
8. Experience with newly development projects and maintenance projects
9. Minimum 2 years of analysis and programming experience
10. Experience with agile software development (for instance, Scrum) or other iterative development processes (for instance, RUP)
11. Experience with UML or case tools
12. Experience with relational databases
13. Proven experience in facilitating meetings, scheduling and managing of time
14. Excellent team player, but also able to work independently when requested
15. Experience with UML and CASE tools, for instance Sparx Enterprise Architect
16. Advantageous – Experience with the tools used at the Client (MS Team Foundation Server, Sparx Enterprise Architect)
17. Advantageous – Experience with application development using MS SharePoint

Knowledge and skills:
• Capability of integration in an international/multicultural environment
• Rapid self-starting capability
• Willingness to work in a team
• Ability to cope with fast changing technologies used in application developments
• Excellent communication skills in spoken and written English, including report writing
• Ability to interpret and understand complex business requirements and procedures
• Be able to play a liaison function between domain expert and system developer regarding domain context
• Advantageous – Experience in the business domain of the Client (epidemiology/public health)

Required proficiency in Information technologies:
- proficiency in Unified Modelling Language (UML);
- proficiency in object oriented design (OOD);
- proficiency in Object Oriented Programming (OOP);
- Needs to understand information /knowledge analysis or experience in working with KE tools.

Estimated timeframe from 2014-06-01 until 2015-01-31 for maximum initial 160 working days, Upon mutual written agreement, the number of working days may be increased or we redirect to another project.
