Job description
- Ensure smooth operation of complex high availability web hosting environment in order to provide maximum performance and availability
- Evaluating, upgrading and supporting ISS, MSSQL infrastructure based on Windows Server Family operating systems
- Ensure 24×7 operations and focus on Service Level Agreement
- Develop and upgrade existing system documentation
Main accountabilities
- Supporting of a High Availability infrastructure server environment
- Change handling, backup management, on demand requests, daily reporting
- Scripting and task automation
- Performing Deployments (optional)
- Daily Operation Management:
- Log file analysis
- Backup review and planning - System administration and support:
- Solving problems and suggesting improvements within Windows server environment
- Defining and implementing technical changes (installation, parameter setting, configuration and integration)
- OS and other components patching
Candidate’s profile
- Experience in administration of Windows Server 2003/2008 is a must
- Administration knowledge of TCP/IP, IPv4, Routing, DNS
- Microsoft certificates will be a plus
- Fluent verbal and written German
- English – communicative level
- “Can do” attitude
- Good communication skills (written and spoken)
- Basic knowledge of Unix/Linux OS will be a plus
- Competencies in administration of: – Internet Information Services (IIS) will be a plus, – Microsoft SQL Server will be a plus
