As a Software Engineer you are responsible for delivering high quality code and contributing to the design and architectural decisions of the Unit4 software, mainly our flagship product the ERP solution, UNIT4 Agresso, on time and within budget.
As a Software Engineer you are integral part of the Scrum team and continuously deliver software based on user stories. You will contribute to the quality of the user stories focusing on the need for clean and maintainable software. You will be an active participant in daily stand-ups and iteration planning meetings.
Results
-Define the software design for implementing the user stories ensuring it complies with the architectural vision and the simplicity of design rules.
-Write the code and the unit tests for implementing the user stories, following the Test Driven Development methodology.
-Participate in code reviews and follow the company’s coding standards and best practices.
-Be integral part of the planning and grooming sessions during Sprints. Review user stories and propose testable and simple designs.
-Participate in test case reviews and help determine the risks associated with the implementation.
-Monitor the build quality and contribute the right unit and component tests that ensure the right coverage for your design.
-Deliver immediate fixes for urgent defects always analyzing the root cause of the defect and providing the most comprehensive fix.
Knowledge and Skills:
-Strong technical skills and attention to detail, previous programming experience and excellent knowledge of object-oriented programming languages (.Net, C#) and SQL;
HTML5, CSS, ASP.Net and Java Script;
-Strong ability to design effective solutions and influence design decisions;
-Excellent debugging and analytical skills;
-Strong knowledge of Agile Development Methodologies, including SCRUM and Test Driven Development;
-The ability to deal with ambiguity in a fast-paced dynamic environment. You have intelligent risk taking tendencies – you are not afraid to fail, but fail fast, and learn from the mistakes making everyone around you better for it;
-Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal.
