Ariba – Java – Managed Service

Job description
Ariba Java developer is responsible for maintenance, enhancements & operations of Ariba Buyer & Sourcing products (8.22 & 9r1 versions).
Works with internal customer & internal technical teams to identify & resolve end user issues received from 1st/2nd level lines of support.
Ariba Java developer will be cooperating daily with 2nd level support team, on incident resolution, knowledge-base building & support operations.

Technical Skills required
-good JAVA / JEE knowledge,
-good SQL knowledge,
-good Javascript knowledge
-basic Unix/Linux knowledge,
-familiarity with ITIL framework,
-good Oracle DB knowledge is a plus,
-basic SAP knowledge is a plus,
-ARIBA/other e-procurement/e-commerce system knowledge is a plus
basic knowledge of Incident, Problem and Change Management processes

Soft skills required
-good knowledge of written and spoken English,
-fast learning,
-good analytical & problem solving skills,
-good teamwork & excellent communication skills,
-work experience in helpdesk/technical support,
-ability to work independently,

Duties and Responsibilities
- resolution of incidents at 2nd/3rd level of support using technical instructions and knowledge database,
- collaboration with next lines of support on complex incidents and problems,
- knowledge sharing with application management specialists & SQA specialists
- analysis of requirements & estimation of development time/effort for features/bugfixes,
- development of new bugfixes/features,
- availability for on-call support outside of regular working hours,
- setup & maintenance of local development environment/supporting tools(i.e. Ariba application server, Oracle DB, CVS/SVN)
- collaboration with technical infrastructure teams,
- management & maintenance of technical system documentation
- release management process – transporting changes between environments
