Description

You are a well-rounded UI designer who connects the dots between business
needs, innovation and good design. You are a talented designer who has the skill to create high quality graphics, and the ability to apply user-centered design practices to interfaces that are flexible enough to display across multiple browsers, screen sizes, platforms and devices.

You will be able to understand how users will want to instinctively interact with a UI, and provide them with the ability to perform their tasks intuitively.

You will be working closely with the company’s User Experience (UX) team collaborating on establishing requirements/​wireframes. You will also work closely with developers along the way, combining your design creativity with their technical skills to arrive at better solutions, faster, and then support them closely through out the implementation and iteration process.

Duties

The main duties for this role will be as follows:

- Overall responsibility for understanding a customer’s brief and converting that into interaction flows and appealing, highly-usable interfaces
- Presenting high fidelity designs/mock-ups to the customer for review / iteration / approval
- Developing an understanding of end-users through secondary and primary research (user interviews, traffic data etc.)
- Designing prototypes to test ideas and identify shortcomings
- Responsive design for web/mobile/software
- Idea generation and conceptualization
- Conducting & facilitating requirements, design, and implementation reviews
- Presenting all documentation to internal teams and clients
- Passionate about understanding (and keeping the team and clients in formed about) current and emerging UI trends
- Providing feedback, facilitating design critique, and mentoring fellow designers

Collaborating with visual designers and developers to ensure a great user experience from design to implementation

Skills

- Understanding of User Interface design and the design process.
- Fluent with Adobe’s Creative Suite.
- Demonstrable UI design skills with a strong portfolio.
- Ability to solve problems creatively and effectively.
- Excellent written, oral and diagrammatic communication skills.

Education

A Degree or equivalent experience in Human Computer Interaction, Digital Media Design, Visual Communication or related field is required. You will need to have 3+ years of experience as User Interface Designer (UI) on released products such as apps, websites, or games.
