REQUIREMENTS:

PHP – Candidate should be a top-notch PHP5 developer, familiar with the latest features in PHP 7 and previous versions
MySQL – Modern database development expertise, words like ‘trigger’ and ‘view’ should be part of your vocabulary.
strong MySQL background — familiarity from 5.0 and higher, knowledge of other RDB options (MySQL forks and otherwise — Maria, Percona, Postgres, etc)
experience with DBA-like tasks (query optimization, indexing, replication, failover, backups / recovery)
Object Oriented Development – Ideal candidates should understand object oriented development, and apply OO concepts to everything they do.
ability to understand and improve existing code
deep Knowledge of RESTful API structure and OAuth
deep knowledge of content management systems
good experience in working with APIs and 3rd party system integration
direct experience with Unit Testing Frameworks
direct experience and knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery, and JSON
experience building data-driven web applications
experience with version control systems (Git)
comfort with *nix command line

Bonus points:

previous technology management experience
Web Services – Experience building modern web services
Node.js experience are a big plus
experience and/or comfort with front end technologies, server configuration, server administration, web application servers (Apache/Nginx), hosting, DNS, and caching
advocate of back end best practices and experience in improving development workflows
active participation in the developer community
previous interactive agency experience

SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITIES:

providing feedback on creative concepts as it relates to technical feasibility with solutions research as required
provide technical visibility into projects for product owners
provide solutions in line with approved design specifications, scope, and timelines
develop prototypes to help with selection of solution options
provide estimates for development work to include analysis, programming, and testing related to project milestones
participate in internal and client production reviews
provide appropriate feedback on the status of project work or problem resolution
analyze software problems and provide solutions to those problems
keep open and continuous communications with product owners and other members of team with regard to workload and project status
mix of coding and technical project management/oversight involving other developers
presenting to both internal management and external clients and vendors
ability to understand, recognize, and work within client technology desires and constraints
draft documentation and functional requirements and review statements of work
