Job description
As a Senior Oracle Database Administrator you’ll be part of a team of DBA’s in Poland and US who presently support various databases on various distributed computing platforms including Exadata to achieve high performance and high quality standards. You’ll take a leadership position to primarily support out Middleware technologies such as Oracle Data Integrator and Goldengate Replication while providing day to day DBA support and providing on-call support. This kind of position will enable you to lead the team and not jut follow instructions.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Provide Oracle database support and design solutions across business units;
  • Design, build, test, deploy and develop quality database solutions for new projects consistent with project objectives and client requirements;
  • Design and implement Oracle based solutions that maximize system availability, efficiency and effectiveness;
  • Perform daily DBA tasks such as installation, configuration, upgrade, administration, monitoring, maintenance and securing databases;
  • Upgrade databases to 12c and adhere to standards and work with Oracle Cloud Control 12c to setup monitoring and alerts;
  • Establish standards, controls and procedures to ensure data integrity and security

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years’ database administration experience;
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field;
  • Expert in Oracle Data Integrator (11g and 12c) and Oracle Goldengate (11g and 12c);
  • Experience with OEM 12c and Oracle 11g;
  • Working on platform: Solaris, RedHat Linux, Windows 2008 and above;
  • Ability to create databases, backups and restores with RMAN and Datapump, perfomance tuning of database/SQLs, patching and upgrades to 12c, etc.;
  • Fluent English, both written and spoken.

Additional requirements

  • Exadata/ASM/Dataguard,Oracle LDAP skills.
