We’re seeking a DevOps Engineer (based Krakow) to join exciting FinTech business backed by serial entrepreneurs. You will be leading DevOps in a new role working on new infrastructure across all application tiers in a Linux environment.

You will be a key member of the technology team working closely with our CTO and other engineers. We’re passionate about building quality into our stack from the get-go, including our DevOps processes & tools.

Responsibilities will include :

• Contributing to the standards and practices that ensure high-quality, continuous integration & deployments in cloud-based or physical server environments
• Automating the build & deployment of application components
• Ensuring all aspects of our stack are instrumented and monitored using Nagios, Munin etc
• Setting up the processes & practices to ensure 99.99% availability across our platform
• Undertaking regular security audits and penetration testing to ensure we’re always secure
• Helping, from time-to-time, with the testing & QA of web-based components

We work using agile practices in an exciting environment where everyone is comfortable in owning their progress against delivery achievements. So you’ll be happy working with existing tools like Trello, Slack, Jira, Git, Confluence – as well as recommending your own tools.

You’ll have :

• Significant experience of Linux (any distribution) DevOps gained in a commercial environment using AWS, cloud-hosted or physical servers
• Extensive experience of infrastructure security in a cloud-based environment, including penetration testing
• Recent experience of git, nginx, Salt, Nagios, Munin, relational/SQL and NoSQL databases (eg Percona/mysql/Postgres/Hadoop) or similar tools/frameworks
• Experience of continuous integration servers
• Be comfortable with working towards shared goals and timescales
• A relentless desire to improve our technical best practices
