Position Description:

This position involves the design, development and maintenance of state-of-the-art Java/J2EE based application. This person will work from specifications to develop or modify complex software programming applications. Duties include designing, developing, troubleshooting and debugging software programs. Determine requirements for new system or new features and documentation of modifications and new code procedures.

Works on problems of moderate scope where analysis of situations or data requires a review of identifiable factors. Exercise judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action.

Key Duties/Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will have a demonstrable track record of design and construction of large scale integration systems using Java, J2SE, and XML and implementing complex technology in a global and heterogeneous environment.

Essential job requirements:

At least 3 years of experience in Java programming
Design, program and maintain web-based J2EE applications
Perform analysis, design, development, quality assurance, and maintenance for existing or new applications
Knowledge of Service-Oriented Architectures and OOAD methodology
Demonstrate broad knowledge of technical solutions
Candidates should have experience in building high performance, reliable and scalable systems in a multi-tiered, distributed environment.
Experience with Spring, Hibernate, Eclipse, Maven, SQL a plus
Experience with Agile development methodologies and TDD a plus
Experience with creating and testing web services is a plus
Additional job requirements:
Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
Ability to work in a team environment
Travel domain knowledge a plus
Understanding of Global Distribution Systems (GDS) a plus
