SYSTEM SUPPORT TEAM LEADER

Workplace: Kraków

Job Description:

Currently we are looking for Consultants who will carry out a project for our Client from banking sector. A successful candidate will be responsible for managing the support team (4 people), providing leadership and guidance to the team members covering technical and systems analysis tasks.

Main tasks:
• Management of the technical and functional resources within the support team
• Allocate work according to staff’s ability, experience and priority of item
• Supervise staff to ensure work is progressed accordingly
• Escalate to Support Manager and Service Owner as appropriate
• Establish a good understanding of the key system components and functionality in order to proactively contribute and manage live incidents

Requirements:
• Knowledge and experience in the following is a must: Unix/Linux, SQL, Oracle
• Experienced systems professional working in a high profile support environment
• Exposure to the Business Analysis standards and software development life cycle standards
• Good analytical and investigative skills, solution finding mind-set
• Ability to work under pressure and to a tight deadline
• Good knowledge of English (knowledge of French will be a plus)

Optional skills:
• Knowledge of the following technologies would be advantageous: Java, IBM WebSphere Transformation Extender, Message Broker and MQ
• Experience of Production Support in particular would be advantageous
• Knowledge of payment business area and relevant products
