Our client Security Services operations center, which is responsible for rapid response DDoS mitigation. It is a team-oriented cross-functional unit charged with the detection and mitigation of DDoS attacks, customer communications, and resolution of platform integration issues. Regular training, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement are important elements of the SOC.
The Security Operations Technician is responsible for all first-response detection and diagnosis (initial) of all network service and attack-related events in the Operations Center.

Job Description

•Operational process development and monitoring of operations center in large global environment
•Troubleshoot network connectivity and routing issues and work directly with peer providers to determine root cause
•Respond to and internally route trouble tickets via support queues
•First response to all operational service issues
•Coordinate customer conference call and internal participation
•Interface with Security Operations Center engineers on attack-related issues
•Monitor and respond to all required Operational Support System events
•Directly communicate with customers across the globe

Requirements

Position Requirements:
•Very good English + French or German or Italian language skills are required
•Experience in customer facing environment with responsibility for customer communications
•Service provider experience a plus
•Basic operational experience with the enterprise/carrier-class routers and switches
•Basic working knowledge of HTTP, TCP/IP, GRE, SMTP, DNS, SSL a plus
•Basic Working knowledge of network routing and network troubleshooting
•Programming experience a plus

Education Requirements:
•BS/BA in Computer Science or Computer Engineering or equivalent work experience.
•Certifications (CISSP, CCNA, CCNP, CCSP, Linux) a plus.

•Ability to work in a high activity environment in a controlled stress free fashion.
•Demonstrate a high level of attention to detail.
•Ability to handle contention and potential conflict situations with clients professionally
