Applifi help app developers & publishers promote their apps across millions of websites/apps worldwide.

Due to a new project, we’re looking for 2 Java developers with an interest in (or experience of) Scala development to help create our new web-based application.

About You

We’re looking for engineers with a passion for elegant code in an agile, test driven development environment. You are not simply content to write code, but to ask “how can I improve the code quality”. Working as part of a small, friendly team of engineers you will gain experience of big data technologies (Hadoop, Hiv, Spark) and NoSQL (Couchbase).

You’ll have at least 3 years’ professional experience (although we will consider candidates with a track record of open source contributions). You’ll be proud of your code and able to share examples of your work from github.

• Java SE experience including servlets, webservices experience
• Experience of SOA or messaging technologies eg RabbitMQ, Kafka is helpful
• Experience of Scala web services design using Spray, Akka, Scalatra is helpful
• An interest in web services/REST and JSON

Key responsibilities

• responsibility for design & build of high-volume, low-latency code components used by global clients
• collaborating with product management team to implement and refine new features
